A Trip to Waterford…the Viking City

The story of Waterford began with the arrival of the Vikings in 914. The city has an exciting medieval flavour and riverside bustle to it. The trip to Waterford was interesting, the bus Eireann bus 5 that I took went through the old road which was longer than bus 4 but the scenic views were breathtaking. Needless to say, it was a long trip worth taking for the views.

There is loads of ancient civilization to see in Waterford if I should term it that way lol…The Waterford Museum of Treasures tells the 1000-year-story of Waterford from the treasures of Viking Waterford at Reginald’s Tower, the oldest civic urban building in Ireland, to the story of Georgian Waterford at the Bishop’s Palace from 1700 to 1970.

The city is a bit small and beautiful and so full of history.
